Associate Investment Management
Full time - Office based
What will you be doing?
We’re seeking an ambitious individual to join our Investment Management team in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small established team where you can get involved in every aspect of Investment Management. It is a truly collaborative team, the role will be varied and fast paced but equally you will get the support you need to learn and develop your career.
You will be responsible for providing full administrative support to our Investment Managers, as well as building relationships with clients to deliver a positive and sleek client experience. Working in conjunction with the Investment Management team to build and develop trusted relationships with clients, providing wide-ranging support and assistance with the management of client portfolios.
As an Associate Investment Management, your responsibilities will include among others:
- Looking after and supporting client needs
- Assisting with the management of client portfolios including dealing, in line with your competency status
- Preparing for client review meetings and providing support as required.
- Undertaking basic analysis and preparing presentations, investment proposals and pitches as required
- Ensuring comprehensive client records are kept and that these are accurate and up to date at all times and in line with Group policy
- Striving for no complaints and where they are received ensure that they are raised with the Client Resolution team in a timely fashion and assist in bringing them to a satisfactory resolution
- Investment Research – Sector Specialist (where appropriate) * Required to work as part of a team focussing on direct equity or collective sector analysis to support the firm’s wider Investment Process needs * Understand the sector, providing appropriate recommendations, based on a wide range of resources * Actively participate in regular meetings, taking ownership of actions, and working in conjunction with other sector specialists * Construct materials as determined within the sector teams to support analysis and communication to Investment Managers
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should
- Have the ability to deal with new and existing clients
- Understand the financial services industry and investment market
- Have experience of working within an investment management environment
- Posses a strong ethic of client and customer service
- Have the ability to work well in a pressurised environment and prioritise work
- Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Good numeracy and analytical skills
Professional Qualifications and Education
- Holds a relevant level 4 qualification or above (aspiring for Level 7) and maintains an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing
