We are looking for a talented German & Greek Content Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will craft compelling content in German and Greek that engages readers and inspires them to explore new ferry destinations. Your words will play a crucial role in guiding our audience to discover their ideal journeys across our platform, blog, newsletters, and other marketing channels.
Responsibilities
Create engaging and persuasive copy in German and Greek for Ferryscanner’s website, blog, newsletters, social media, and other marketing channels
Write UX copy across Ferryscanner’s platform, including buttons, forms, tooltips, notifications, onboarding flows, and error messages
Track and interpret content performance data to identify insights and continuously improve content effectiveness
Research ferry destinations, routes, and related travel topics to generate unique and relevant content
Apply SEO best practices to optimize German and Greek-language content, including keyword research, meta descriptions, and internal linking strategies, while collaborating with SEO specialists to improve search visibility and drive organic traffic
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that align with our brand voice and objectives
Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines
Stay updated on industry trends, travel news, and ferry-related developments to provide timely and valuable information to our audience
Assist in localizing content between English, German, and Greek, maintaining a high level of accuracy and cultural relevance
Assist in creating and adapting content in other languages using translation and content tools while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Requirements
Qualifications & key competencies
Native German and native Greek speaker with excellent writing and editing skills is a must!
Proven experience as a copywriter, content creator, or similar role (preferably in the travel or hospitality industry)
A portfolio of previous work demonstrating your ability to craft compelling content
Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret content performance metrics and reports
Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, and ability to apply them to German and Greek content
Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console
Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and editing skills
Creativity and strong research abilities
Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
