About the role
This is a freelance, on-demand role focused on designing and delivering tools for internal Business Intelligence and Operations.
You’ll work directly with the Operations Director, who will define the business need. Your job will be to translate that into clean structures, working dashboards, and automated workflows — and then hand them over for internal maintenance.
You won’t be involved in day-to-day operations or ongoing upkeep; instead, you’ll support us through discrete, well-scoped assignments requiring precision, data security, and technical autonomy.
Use of AI to speed up development (e.g., for scripts, transformations, documentation) is welcome but not required.
Responsibilities
Design and build operational dashboards (Looker Studio / G-Suite ecosystem)
Structure data sources for reporting (Sheets models, imports, transformations)
Create lightweight automations using AppScript, Google Workspace integrations, Zapier, and similar tools
Support integrations between tools (HubSpot, Atlassian, Slack, Google Workspace; nice to have: Productive)
Prepare clear documentation to hand over solutions to internal teams
Ensure high standards of data security, access control, and compliance
Provide technical consultation on best practices in data architecture and BI tooling
Requirements
Strong experience with Google Workspace tools, including Google Sheets (advanced formulas, queries, pivots) and AppScript
Proficiency in building dashboards in Looker Studio
Experience with automation platforms (Zapier or equivalents)
Ability to independently translate business needs into working data/dashboards/automations
Experience integrating SaaS tools (HubSpot, Atlassian, Slack, etc.)
Strong sense of data privacy, security, and compliance
Excellent organisational skills and reliability in remote/async collaboration
Very good English (spoken and written)
Nice to have:
Experience with Productive
Familiarity with BI pipelines, data modelling, or more advanced analytics
Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate development and documentation
