Our Applied Research team turns new DeFi research into practical protocol optimizations, risk mitigation, and growth strategies. We use data analysis, simulation modeling, and economic design principles to achieve this. We combine expertise in cryptoeconomics, mechanism design, and traditional finance to offer data-driven recommendations and systems that reduce systemic risk, improve protocol stability, and speed up growth.

Our platform supports over $42 billion in DeFi Total Value Locked (TVL) and manages more than $2 billion in self-custodial vault strategies. For security, we use HYPERNATIVE for onchain monitoring, ZEROSHADOW for instant ²⁴⁄₇ response monitoring, and CHAINALYSIS for onchain tracing.

Gauntlet is a remote-first company, offering unlimited remote flexibility across the US and Canada, and maintains a strong presence in New York City. The team, comprising 51 to 200 employees, values strong ownership, data-driven decisions, and thoroughness.

Gauntlet actively develops scalable People programs and inclusive hiring practices. The team includes data scientists, Solidity engineers, economists, and high-frequency trading veterans.
