We are looking for a driven and creative Internal Communications Coordinator to join a dynamic team, responsible for critical communications to our student body of 50,000 across multiple campuses and online. Job Description
You will work alongside a passionate team of communications experts, shaping campaigns across multiple stages of the marketing funnel, from conversion and onboarding and enrolment through to graduation.
Your role will involve planning, creating, and delivering engaging, multi-channel communications assets across social media, the Griffith App, website, intranet, outdoor digital screens and targeted email campaigns. You will organise content around students’ needs and motivations, creating messages that resonate emotionally and practically.
Data, feedback and stakeholder input drive everything we do. You will use these insights to continuously refine campaigns, ensuring they are effective, engaging and aligned with our students’ journey. You will join a team who thrives in the Agile way of working and be ready to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment.
About you
You will bring:
- You will have experience in creating content and crafting messages which deliver clear and effective communications for diverse audiences, including working with stakeholders and using available information to write copy, with a focus on digital writing and light design using tools such as Canva.
- Proven skills in working with stakeholders, taking briefs and collaborating closely and professionally.
- Experience with monitoring and updating communications schedules, concentrating on accuracy of information and taking initiative to ensure plans are on track.
- Strong data literacy, including the ability to extract, analyse and prepare accurate reports that inform communication planning and improve engagement.
- Confident problem‑solving skills to investigate and resolve data issues when they arise.
- Strong project management skills with evidence of taking accountability for your projects, managing campaigns end-to-end and driving awareness and engagement.
- Knowledge of the following platforms is advantageous but not essential: Asana, Canva, Oracle, Vision 6, PeopleSoft, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
The occupant of this position will hold a degree in Journalism, Communications or Public Relations or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
What we offer
Base Salary Hew 5 in the range of $79,705 - $89,416 per annum plus 17% Superannuation. The salary including superannuation is in the range $93,255 - $104,617 per annum.
This is a continuing, full-time position primarily based at our Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus.
As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples
