The Opportunity: We’re seeking a Process Designer to optimize the core workflows ofWPP Open. This pivotal role demands a deep understanding of systems, and the abilityto translate disparate processes & system structures into tangible, user-centric, andoperationally sound solutions at an enterprise scale. You’ll ensure seamlessexperiences by integrating service design with robust process optimization.
What you’ll be doing:
- Strategic Design Leadership: Lead the design and optimization of WPP Open’score workflows, integrating experience with underlying operational processes.
- Holistic Systems Thinking: Apply rigorous systems thinking to analyse complexinterdependencies (users, processes, tech, organization) and identify leveragepoints for systemic improvement.
- Integrated Blueprinting & Mapping: Develop comprehensive service blueprintsand detailed process maps to visualize, analyse, and optimize end-to-end userjourneys and operational mechanics.
- Systems & Process Design: Translate strategic insights into actionable systemand process designs, collaborating with product, engineering, and operationsteams to define requirements and ensure feasibility.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and facilitate re-engineerprocesses to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance user experience.
- User & Process Research: Conduct in-depth research to uncover user needsand process pain points, translating findings into actionable design decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with diverse stakeholders (product,engineering, business units) to align on integrated service and process solutions.
- Prototyping & Testing: Develop and iterate on prototypes and processsimulations to validate solutions with users and stakeholders.
- Impact Measurement: Define and track metrics to measure the success ofdesigned services and optimized processes.
What you’ll need:
• 10+ years in Service Design, Process Design, or Strategic Design, with a strong portfolio in complex enterprise platforms.
• Proven expertise in applying systems thinking to solve complex business and user problems.
• Demonstrable experience in creating and utilizing both detailed service blueprints AND process maps.
• Strong capability in translating service concepts into actionable system and operational designs.
• Expertise in user research methods AND process analysis techniques.
• Proficiency with design/prototyping tools (Figma, Miro) AND process modelling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience with B2B/enterprise software platforms highly desirable.
Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Business Process Management, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, BPM) a plus
