Summary

The Performance & Portfolio Data Associate supports GW&Kโ€™s sales, client service, and investment teams through data analysis, portfolio evaluation, and report preparation. As an integral member of the firmโ€™s Enterprise Data & Analytics Group, the role involves using FactSet, Morningstar, and Bloomberg to analyze portfolios, calculate and present strategy characteristics, and ensure data accuracy. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cross-team projects that enhance reporting, automation, and client engagement. The incumbent will be responsible for managing requests for analytics on client portfolios and GW&K strategies from data input to final review.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing portfolios of prospective clients and compare/contrast them with proposed GW&K strategies.
  • Support the private wealth channel through assembling asset allocation breakdowns & income projections for both existing & prospective clients.
  • Utilize Bloomberg, FactSet, and Morningstar to properly classify holdings and mutual funds by asset class/type, sector, market capitalization, etc.
  • Ensure accuracy of performance data used in marketing materials and in responses to external requests for performance such as RFPs/RFIs.
  • Utilize performance attribution tools to produce analytical reports for management to evaluate effectiveness of investment decisions and explain performance to clients.
  • Respond to and resolve all follow-up inquiries from sales and client service in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with annual GIPS Verification and review all GIPS compliant materials.
  • Assist the Enterprise Data & Analytics Group with various special projects, custom client requests, product and competitor research, and data and automation used in Seismic.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 1โ€“3 years of relevant experience in investment performance, client reporting, data analysis, or investment related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and charting
  • Experience with investment analytics and data tools (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar, eVestment, Eagle, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of databases and query tools (e.g., SQL or Power BI) preferred

This role is based in our Boston office on a hybrid schedule - 4 days per week in-office, 1 day per week remote.

The actual base salary is dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, GW&K employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and/or commission, which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.

Base Salary Range

$73,000-$85,000 USD
