Founded in 1999, we are part of the Sony Sports Innovations Group. We develop and deliver officiating, production, tracking, and analytics tools for sports, aiming to make sports fairer, safer, more engaging, and better informed. We started with tennis and cricket in 2001 and have since expanded to many other sports.

Our core technologies include video replay, optical tracking, and insight systems. Our video replay technology captures, reviews, and clips multi-angle video. This includes Football Video Support (FVS), a challenge-based VAR alternative for lower-tier leagues, which uses multi-angle replay technology (SMART). Our optical tracking and camera calibration systems track performance, balls, and other objects. Our insight technology collates, aggregates, and visualizes data.

We provide specialized services across multiple sports:

• Football: VAR, Goal Line Technology, and Semi-Automated Offside.
• Tennis: Electronic Line Calling (ELC) and Live ELC.
• Rugby: TMO, Injury Review, and Disciplinary services.
• Basketball: Sub-second skeletal tracking for officiating, broadcast, and team analytics.
• Cricket: Officiating technology, precise ball tracking, and UltraEdge.
• Ice Hockey: Officiating and medical reviews for the NHL, and enhanced tracking technology for real-time 3D game recreations by Beyond Sports.
• American Football: Multi-angle reviews for the NFL.
• Baseball: MLB’s video replay and core data for ball, player, and bat tracking for StatCast.

Our engineers develop computer vision solutions for tracking, including multi-view geometry, occlusion handling, and performance optimization. They also create machine learning models for ball and player tracking, and software for broadcast replay, covering hardware interfacing, network protocols, and audio/video processing. They contribute to sports analytics models and biomechanics product quality.
