Global Football Resource Allocations Specialist

Start Date: 1st April

Location: Flexible

Work Split: Remote with occasional travel to events or headquarters

Role Overview:

The Global Football Resource Allocations Specialist is a pivotal role within the Global Football Resource Allocation team. Reporting to the Global Football Resource Allocations Manager (GFRAM), you will orchestrate the strategic distribution of technical and non-technical Full-time Employees (FTE), casual workers (CWs), consultants/freelancers to meet the high-stakes demands of the global football calendar.

You will serve as the primary architect for resource distribution, acting as the key point of contact for high-profile internal clients, helping in the delivery of our services for the likes of FIFA, UEFA, and major domestic leagues such as European, North/South American (eg: NWSL, Brazilian Serie A&B) and Asian (eg: J-League, K-League) football leagues.

Your mission is to balance complex scheduling demands with financial accuracy, working hours management and allocation efficiency and drive innovation in how we track, deploy, and manage our global resource pool.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Resource Allocation & Client Relations

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the central point of contact for internal clients regarding long-term resource forecasting and high-pressure match-day allocations.

  • Workforce Planning: Lead the forecasting of global personnel needs, identifying talent gaps and scaling the resource pool to match the peaks of international competitions.

  • Systems Implementation: Act as the Expert “Float” user, driving the implementation, optimisation, and daily administration of the platform to ensure a “single source of truth” for scheduling.

Talent Management & Integration

  • Oversight: Manage the end-to-end scheduling for a diverse pool of technical and non-technical workers, ensuring specialised skill sets are mapped to specific project requirements.

  • Hiring Collaboration: Partner with the Global Football Resource Allocations team,, Global Training & Standards team, and CRP Area Managers to facilitate the hiring and onboarding of consultants and CWs in line with global compliance.

  • Network Engagement: Foster a high-retention culture by resolving allocation queries, managing escalations, and ensuring clear communication.

  • Knowledge Management: Standardize best practices and feedback loops to refine future recruitment and deployment cycles.

Financial Oversight & Operational Support

  • Internal Recharge Management: Support the GFRAM with internal recharge processes, ensuring costs are accurately allocated to the correct projects and clients.

  • Financial Approvals: Streamline and oversee the approval of consultant/casual worker invoices and timesheets, ensuring timely payments and budget adherence

  • Performance Tracking: Work with the Training & Standards team to ensure the quality of delivery remains consistent across all allocated resources.

Innovation & Process Improvement

  • Database Evolution: Proactively bring innovations to existing processes for internal database management, moving toward more automated and scalable solutions.

  • Operational Excellence: Identify bottlenecks in the current allocation workflow and propose creative, sustainable methods to improve efficiency and data accuracy.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Resource Expertise: Proven experience in resource coordination, freelancer management, or large-scale operational scheduling within sports or live events.

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with resource management software (ideally Float) and data tools is desired.

  • Client Management: Confidence in navigating relationships with high-tier stakeholders (FIFA/UEFA/Leagues) and managing their expectations.

  • Financial Acumen: Comfort managing recharges, budgets, and the administrative nuances of invoice/timesheet workflows.

  • Adaptability: Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.

  • Communication: A clear, reliable communicator who can bridge the gap between technical requirements and operational delivery.

  • Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of football broadcast or event services and the specific roles required for each deliverable.
