Job Title: Storage Engineer III (Job Code: VK0531)
Details:
Define, design, and implement storage, backup, recovery, and data management solutions that ensure high performance of the organization’s enterprise data (on-prem or cloud). Responsible for operational maintenance, availability, and capacity of critical Storage Area Networking (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and other storage related environments. Closely monitor server storage performance and utilization, identify problems, and implement solutions. Lead the creation of standards, best practices, and new processes for operational integration of new technology solutions. Ensure storage, backup, and recovery environments are compliant with defined standards and operational procedures. Provide operational support and guidance to internal clients. Perform a wide variety of daily storage management and provide recommendations for effective and efficient management of storage system. Be part of a team working specifically on the clients Storage/SAN/NAS and Backup Systems. Provide proactive recommendations to the customers for improving storage and backup operations. Perform daily operational tasks such as storage provisioning and maintaining availability. Provision storage based on standardized procedures as outlined in internal documents. Perform backup and recovery procedures. May work from home.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in the offered position or related position.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess expertise/ knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Required expertise/knowledge includes:
- Experience in Enterprise level Storage Engineering with DELL PowerMAX, HyperMax OS, PURE Flash arrays, Purity OS, Active DR, Active cluster, Hitachi and NetApp FAS, AFF.
- DELLEMC Certified Specialist, System Administrator VMAX All flash and VMAX3.
- Experience in Enterprise storage infrastructure automation using Python, PowerShell for REST API interactions, Rundeck for scripting and reporting workflow automation.
- Data migration, NDM experience using SRDF and NDM using Dell EMC OR, SRDF, Hitachi HUR, HRM, NetApp Snap mirror.
- Experience in Windows & SUN UNIX and AIX systems.
- Experience with Multi tenancy infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Oracle and MSSQL databases and Integration with Storage and Backup infrastructure.
- Experience of infrastructure and server virtualization, including VMWare, Solaris, AIX, and Storage virtualization.
- Experience in Disaster recovery solution of IT Infrastructure, Design and implement.
- Experience in providing, design and implement Data protection solutions using Rubrik, Cohesity, Dell PPDM.
OTHER:
Job site: Irvine, CA; 40 hours/week;
Salary: $129,501 per year
