Why should you work for us?
In this role, you will support the company’s growth as we continue to scale our engineering domain. We’re looking for a Team Lead to manage the “RnD Satellite Build & Lab maintenance team” at our Espoo office.
The Team is responsible for maintaining all the R&D Laboratories used to develop our satellite technologies. Besides, the team supports engineering on building testing setups, harness manufacturing as well the prototype satellites.
You will work closely with engineers and team leads from other fields to ensure continuous improvements and clear communications between the team with other stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include guiding daily operations, setting clear goals, delegating tasks, and ensuring team members have resources, while also focusing on motivation, coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution to bridge the gap between staff and management, ultimately driving project success and fostering a positive environment.
What will you do in this role?
Interpret the team OKRs and delegate tasks in order to achieve the domain goals
Ensure the R&D Labs are well maintained and support the engineering projects
Mentor and support the professional development of team members, helping them grow in their careers and take on new challenges.
Help identify development opportunities for team members and support their career growth.
Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Establish and enforce best practices in documentation
Define processes and way of working with stakeholders
BSc degree (or equivalent) in Engineering
Proven track record in team leadership or technical lead roles
Experience with R&D projects.
Experience working in cleanrooms
Familiar with Lab standards
Experience working with Electronics & Lab Instruments
Experience using inventory management systems
Hands on experience in complex machines assembly and testing
In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills:
- Aerospace industry experience
- Experience with cable manufacturing
- Experience designing and setting R&D Labs
