We’re looking for an innovative, analytical, strategic-thinking and result-oriented leader with deep expertise leading search engine optimization (SEO) and Web publishing to join our team at Included Health. This leader will drive our SEO/AIO (“search everywhere”) strategy and define the technical and content-driven roadmaps to scale organic growth.

The SEO & Website Strategy Senior Manager will develop and execute a world-class, data-driven SEO strategy across SEO, AIO, and organic social media channels to boost visibility and awareness of Included Health’s offerings through IncludedHealth.com and DoctorOnDemand.com. This role balances strategic leadership in SEO & AI-driven growth, with expertise leveraging consumer health trends to maximize business visibility and scale. Of particular importance is strong experience in creating, maintaining and delivering value through a scaled web publishing platform.

Responsibilities include proactively identifying and communicating emerging trends in both consumer health and AI; influencing content strategy and calendars to capitalize on those trends; developing and executing innovative strategies and aggressive testing plans to capitalize on trends and boost business visibility; and measuring and optimizing SEO and organic initiatives to keep us at the forefront. We’re eager to find someone who has developed and led conversion rate optimization (CRO), bringing experience and fluency in modern CMS tools. This role will partner heavily with team members across Member Acquisition, Content Strategy, Engineering, and Analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • SEO Strategy Development: Proactively identify and deeply analyze emerging consumer health trends, translating these insights into actionable SEO and content strategy to capture early market visibility across all organic channels.
  • Roadmap Management: Define and size opportunities, strategic priorities, and roadmap to drive organic AI/social growth based on emerging trends, current performance and data insights; includes partnering with the Content Strategy team to develop synergies across channels, and to reflect needs in roadmap and prioritization.
  • Content Execution: Lead the front-end development of high-performing content campaigns and initiatives across search, search AI (e.g., Google AI Overviews), emerging AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT), and social channels (e.g., Reddit, Meta, TikTok) to increase organic traffic and drive conversions.
  • Conversion Optimization: Partnering with Member Acquisition, own the roadmap and execution of landing page optimization, aimed at improving member conversion rates across the member journey, from content/research to conversion-oriented pages.
  • Performance Measurement: Evaluate marketing data and metrics to assess SEO effectiveness, conduct A/B testing, build and analyze reports and dashboards, and clearly communicate results and data-driven decisions to key stakeholders.
  • Tech Platform Ownership: Own the licensing, use, budgeting and value generation of Web- and SEO-focused marketing technologies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Content Strategy, Engineering, Product, Analytics, and other marketing stakeholders  to align on goals, share insights, and ensure SEO and website initiatives are prioritized and executed effectively.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to inform SEO initiatives and strategy.

Required Qualifications:

  • SEO/AIO Expertise: 10+ years of professional experience and leadership in SEO, with a focus on in-house and enterprise-level environments (strong preference for experience in healthcare). Deep expertise of SEO principles, strategies, and the latest AI-driven trends.
  • CMS/Web publishing experience: Deep understanding and proficiency in WordPress and modern web technologies, with a strong understanding of how search engines and AI bots crawl, index, and rank sites. Skilled in technical SEO (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Schema) and managing CMS platforms, site structure, content governance, and publishing workflows.
  • Trend Spotting: Demonstrated experience identifying and leveraging trends (population health, search terms, etc.), with ability to generate and secure team and organizational support for investments.
  • AI & LLM Expertise: Proven experience with Generative AI and large language models (LLMs), understanding their influence on search behavior and developing strategies to optimize content and user experiences for these evolving platforms.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in tools such as Looker, Amplitude, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Yoast, and Screaming Frog. Capable of interpreting complex data to generate actionable, business-driven insights – including  the ability to forecast the impact of SEO initiatives.
  • Strategic Thinking: Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify high-impact opportunities and set priorities within a strategic business context.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled at partnering with internal teams, subsidiary organizations, and executive leadership to advance SEO initiatives and report on progress.
  • Communication & Influence: Outstanding communication and presentation skills, able to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Leadership: Team and cross-functional leadership experience, with a strong track record of communicating strategy across teams, managing agency and vendor relationships, mentoring team members, and fostering collaboration across diverse business units.

  • Experience influencing the strategic vision and direction of technology products and tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data in ambiguous and dynamic environments and derive insights that support value delivery and value creation for clients and team members.
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Expert communication skills to articulate and deliver data-driven insights and manage challenging conversations.
  • Project management, executive-level communication, and presentation skills are required.
  • Experience creating channel-level OKRs, including managing resources to meet KPI goals, including impact and financial modeling for strategic initiatives.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

  • Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.
  • Ability to interact with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.

The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:

Zone A: $128,130 - $180,990 + equity + benefits

Zone B: $140,943 - $199,089 + equity + benefits

Zone C: $153,756 - $217,188 + equity + benefits

Zone D: $166,569 - $235,287 + equity + benefits

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health’s commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.

Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone’s unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations. In addition to earning a base salary, this role is eligible for a performance-based bonus. Details of the Annual Bonus Plan, including performance metrics, target incentives, and potential earnings, will be discussed during the interview process.
