T-CPT-10564 Digital Marketing and Website Management Specialist
Independent Contractor – [Technical VA / Senior - Advanced Level] (Remote).
Overview
20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
The client is looking for a strong executor who can confidently run with existing strategies, processes, and briefs across WordPress, Mailchimp and social, with enough experience to suggest small improvements – not someone expected to lead full SEO or marketing strategy.
The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.
Scope of Services
Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:
Website Management:
- WordPress Updates: Regularly update the website using the Divvy theme, ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and visually appealing. Detailed process documentation will be provided to guide these updates and related tasks.
- SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices for on-page and off-page optimization, including keyword research, meta tags, and backlink strategies to improve search engine rankings.
- Blog Post Management: Upload new blog posts to the website, ensuring proper formatting, alignment with SEO strategies, and the inclusion of relevant images and tags.
- Specials Uploading: Update the website with current specials and promotions, ensuring they are clearly presented and aligned with marketing campaigns.
Email Marketing:
- Mailchimp Management: Populate and manage our Mailchimp database, ensuring accurate segmentation based on audience behavior, interests, and other relevant criteria.
- Campaign Execution: Plan, segment, and execute email marketing campaigns to promote products, services, and content, including newsletters and promotional offers.
- Reporting: Analyze email marketing metrics (open rates, click-through rates) to assess campaign performance and provide insights for future improvements.
Social Media Management:
Competition Uploads: Create and upload posts for social media competitions across our platforms, ensuring they are visually appealing and meet branding standards.
Winner Selection: Manage the selection of competition winners, ensuring that this process is completed by Friday, with announcements made over the weekend or early Monday.
Social Inbox Management: Oversee responses and engagements on social media platforms, maintaining a positive brand image and promptly addressing inquiries.
For one client, manage a recurring tipping competition 2–3 times per week (no FB or IG posting required):
- Review comments on the relevant Facebook and Instagram posts and identify correct tippers using a provided process.
- Randomly select one winner from the correct tippers and respond to their comment with a pre-approved template asking them to DM their full name and postal address.
- Monitor DMs (only for those responses), capture the winner’s details, and update a shared Google Sheet/spreadsheet a couple of times per week so that winner records are always current and accurate.
Reporting and Testing:
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular reports on website analytics, email campaign performance, social media engagement, and competition outcomes.
- A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing for email campaigns and website content, analyzing results to refine strategies for improved performance.
Right-size Website Management & SEO
- Managing WordPress (Divi) for uploading content, formatting pages/posts, and doing basic on-page SEO (titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, internal links, slugs) using plugins like Yoast or Rank Math.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics/Search Console to pull simple performance data.
- HTML/CSS/JS only for minor troubleshooting if needed, not for full development work.
- Remove or soften references to backlink strategies and heavy off-page SEO.
Clarify Mailchimp as execution-focused
- Build and schedule Mailchimp campaigns from supplied copy, images, and campaign briefs.
- Apply segments/tags defined by me, and perform link, formatting, and mobile checks before sending.
- Set up simple automations if needed, based on clear instructions.
- Export and summarise key metrics (opens, clicks, top links, unsubscribes) into a shared report or sheet.
Keep reporting simple and action-based
- Provide a simple weekly summary covering:
- Website/blog updates completed
- Email campaigns sent (with key stats)
- Social posts and competition rounds completed
- Winners added to the spreadsheet
Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.
Skills
The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:
- Proven experience with WordPress, specifically with Divvy themes or similar.
- Strong technical skills in website management, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for troubleshooting and updates.
- Deep understanding of SEO best practices, including experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs).

- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and reporting metrics.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and tools to drive optimization of digital marketing efforts.
- Familiarity with Google Ads (navigating the interface, basic edits, and reporting). Google Ads certification is a plus but not required.
