We are a software development company founded in San Francisco in 2015 by Ricardo Amper. Our AI-powered platform helps organizations verify identities and prevent fraud. We use deterministic verification, Deepsight technology for advanced deepfake protection, and intelligent orchestration. This relies on our in-house tech stack, strong biometrics, and a fraud intelligence network.

Our platform secures digital identities for many purposes, such as customer onboarding, authentication, and KYC/AML compliance. We also help businesses with KYC/AML for entities, Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) verification, and watchlist screening. For employees, we offer verification, help desk and self-serve password/MFA reset, and candidate verification. We also verify autonomous AI systems, authenticate agent owners, detect agent activity, and enable tokenization with audit trails. In 2024, we processed over 4.1 billion trust checks and maintain 400 million identity profiles worldwide.

Gartner recognized us as a Leader in its Magic Quadrant for Identity Verification for the second year in a row (2025). We are also a Leading Vendor in Liminal’s Link Index for KYC and highly rated by customers in G2’s Index for Identity Verification. We launched our first biometric authentication solution in 2017 and introduced advanced Liveness Detection technology in 2019. We reached unicorn status in 2021 and acquired AuthenticID in 2024.
