Keeper Security is hiring Senior Systems Engineers to support and expand our Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. These are highly technical, customer-facing roles where you will design, troubleshoot, and optimize deployments while also engaging directly with enterprise clients. This is a 100% remote position with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro area.

About the Job

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will combine deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing skills. You’ll troubleshoot complex deployment and configuration issues, consult with enterprise customers on best practices, and collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement. Kubernetes, container orchestration, and PAM/IAM integrations will be central to your work. Your goal is to not only resolve escalated cases efficiently but also empower customers to realize the full value of Keeper’s solutions. By analyzing customer problems you will dissect whether the issue is a functional gap or a product defect.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level technical support and consulting for Keeper’s Enterprise and MSP customers

  • Design and optimize deployments of Keeper PAM, Keeper Connection Manager (KCM), and Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM)

  • Troubleshoot complex product and integration issues, including Kubernetes, SSO/SCIM provisioning, Active Directory, and cloud services

  • Engage directly with customers via email, video calls, and architecture reviews to deliver high-quality support and solutions

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to escalate and resolve product defects, and advocate for enhancements

  • Create internal documentation, tooling, and knowledge base content to improve support efficiency and customer self-service

  • (Lead potential) Mentor junior engineers, guide technical strategy for PAM systems engineering, and support customer-facing escalations

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar technical consulting/support rol

  • Strong expertise with Kubernetes and containerization technologies (Docker, cloud containers)

  • Deep knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM)

  • Experience with Active Directory, SSO (SAML 2.0), and SCIM provisioning

  • Strong background in networking (TCP/IP), virtualization (ESXi, Hyper-V), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to engage directly with enterprise customers

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with identity providers such as Okta and Entra ID, including Conditional Access Policies

  • Prior experience working in high-security or compliance-driven environments (FedRAMP, IL5, SOC 2)

  • Contributions to security, IAM, or Kubernetes-related open-source projects

  • Ability to quickly learn complex systems and adapt to dynamic priorities
