We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to help us build new functionality and add improvements to our software. If you have an eye for writing code and are interested in agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you!

You’ll be part of a cross-functional and highly professional team, distributed across the Netherlands and India. The team consists of business analysts, developers, and testers, working together to deliver high-quality software.

Key about your role
You will join the Workflow & Communication team in our Development and Maintenance department, working on Plexus, our standard back-office product used by customers in Denmark and the Netherlands.
The team is responsible for implementing and enhancing three core areas: Output, a framework that enables customers to configure and produce documents for distribution; Workflow, which supports the configuration and execution of both manual and automated tasks, with a particular focus on building a scalable workflow editor; and Datamart, a data warehouse solution that allows customers to create reports.
As part of this role, you will be fully involved in the agile development process. You will:
- Participate in scrum activities such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain Keylane products in line with architectural, quality, and security guidelines.
- Keep technical documentation clear and up to date, continuously improving existing and new software solutions and engineering practices.
- Ensuring the timely identification and resolution of bugs.
Ultimately, you will contribute to building standardized and consistent solutions for our clients across multiple countries.
Key about you
- You have experience with large technical ecosystems using Java, Git and Gradle.
- You have experience in working with SQL and databases (DB2, PostgreSQL).
- You are used to creating and performing unit, system and integration tests as part of your development work.
- You understand and enjoy the agile way of working, tools and techniques.
- You have an eye for writing code with attention for performance, scalability and maintainability.
- You are passionate about your code. You love to put your strong analytical skills to the test whilst working closely together with your team.
- Is proficient in English.

Keylane offers
- A monthly gross salary between € 3.500 and € 4.900 based on 40 hours per week.
