Position Purpose
The Counter Operations Leader provides end-to-end operational support to retail counters across Australia, ensuring consistent execution, system integrity, and compliance with brand standards through remote oversight. Based in Malaysia, this role partners closely with Australia-based commercial and field teams to enable front-line readiness, operational discipline, and smooth execution of daily operations, promotions, and events. The role acts as a central operations anchor, leveraging data, systems, and standardized processes to drive efficiency, consistency, and operational excellence across all counters .
Responsibilities:
Operational Reporting & Analysis
- Analyse key operational and commercial performance metrics (e.g. sales, new user acquisition, system utilization) for the Australia market.
- Prepare regular reports, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Track action plans and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely execution and continuous improvement
System Management & Support
- Provide remote operational support for core systems (C2, SDC, Magic Ring/Magic Scan) used by Australia counters.
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of operational data, including inventory and sample tracking.
- Manage system access and user privileges with strict governance and compliance controls.
- Serve as the key escalation point for system-related operational issues.
Front-line Operations & Readiness (Remote)
- Ensure counter readiness (connectivity, testers, materials).
- Coach and support team for consistency and discipline.
- Conduct regular online counter reviews and monitoring in lieu of physical store visits.
- Identify operational gaps and work with local stakeholders to implement corrective actions
Maintenance & Fixed Asset Management
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of operational assets (e.g. devices, tools, equipment) supporting Australia counters.
- Coordinate remote setup and deactivation for new, relocated, or closed counters (e.g. system access, emails, product codes, devices).
- Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with IT or external vendors to ensure timely resolution.
Quality, Compliance & Brand Standards
- Enforce operational standards according to company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain quality assurance and brand standards.
- Develop processes, roll out SOPs, and operational guidelines to support standardised execution.
Promotions, ZFD (Zero-Floor-Display), Events, etc.
- Coordinate logistics, materials for promotions, ZFD activities, testers, and sampling as per campaigns or events/pop-ups in Australia.
- Ensure operational readiness and smooth execution of campaigns through close coordination with local teams.
- Oversee Free Goods management, including analysis, allocation, and reporting, to ensure effective tracking and utilization.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Business with 3 to 5 years’ experience in operations, retail, or a similar environment.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and reporting ability; hands-on with systems.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Remote support for the Oceania market; the role requires commitment to core operational hours, working from 8.00AM/8.30AM to 5.00PM/5.30PM.
