Job Description
You organize and conduct projects in the area of SAP HANA, e.g. installations, updates, migrations, analysis and optimization, scale-outs etc.
You ensure a proper SAP HANA system operation for our big SAP HANA landscape
You can advise our customers and colleagues in the area of SAP HANA, both on-premise in our datacentres and in the cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS)
You check and optimize the operating concept of our SAP HANA databases and landscapes
Qualifications
Experience in managing projects in the SAP Basis and SAP HANA area
Several years of experience in the setup and operation of SAP systems and SAP HANA DBs and related technologies
Deep knowledge of SAP HANA DB platform implementations, Scale-Up and Scale-Out, and operating tasks like table distribution and table partitioning
Datacentre operating knowledge about the HANA hardware specific deployment models (TDI, Appliance, physical and virtual environments) which includes the OS platform (SLES for SAP) and areas like Storage mapping in case of TDI.
Since we operate HANA DB platform in High Availability with the goal of business continuity, we use HANA System Replication together with SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension clustering framework (Corosync and Pacemaker). The knowhow is this area is also fundamental.
