Data Governance Analyst
**Job Title: Data Governance Analyst** **Duration:** 5+ month contract (highly likely to extend through December 2027) **Location:** Remote **Responsibilities:** - Serve as the data governance representative within an Agile delivery team, ensuring governance standards are incorporated throughout the development lifecycle. - Partner with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, BI Engineers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data assets meet enterprise quality and governance standards. - Support metadata management, data stewardship, and business glossary initiatives using Collibra. - Ensure critical data elements, business definitions, lineage, and ownership are accurately documented and maintained. - Validate data quality, consistency, and governance before data is promoted for downstream reporting and analytics. - Assist with identifying data quality issues, governance risks, and compliance gaps while recommending appropriate remediation. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-functional planning sessions. ** :** - 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Metadata Management, or Data Stewardship. - Experience supporting Workers’ Compensation systems, claims, or business operations. - Hands-on experience with Collibra for metadata management, business glossaries, data lineage, or governance workflows. - Strong understanding of enterprise data governance principles, data quality, metadata management, and stewardship. - Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments alongside cross-functional delivery teams. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
