Location

This is a remote role based in the San Francisco, CA market. This role will be performed as field work for a portion of the week, with an option to perform certain responsibilities remotely. Candidates must be based within a 50-mile commuting distance of San Francisco, CA.

Additional hiring locations include Miami, FL; Seattle, WA; and Phoenix, AZ. Candidates must be based within a 50 mile commuting distance of these locations. Additionally, fully remote in California (CA) may be considered.

Overview

As a Renovations Estimator, you will be focused on the end-to-end success of each renovation project from acquisition to resale. The core workflow starts with viewing video and photos of each home and creating a detailed scope of work based on the target home condition outcome. Estimators virtually meet with home designers, and local project management to facilitate a bidding process and subsequently serve as a resource for local PM execution of each home renovation project.

What You’ll Do

Virtual Scope Creation

Create 4-6 Virtual Scopes of Work weekly. Approx. 3-4 hrs/each

  • Watch walkthrough videos // assessment data
  • Create scope targeted to comps (estimation and project risk management)
  • Finalize Virtual SOW that outlines the project direction for the local team and General Contractor; and provides estimate of project cost

Project Management

  • Virtually meet w/ local market teams to solidify In-person Scope of Work
  • Collect and incorporate feedback from local team
  • Oversee quality of work and ensure projects stay within budget
  • Finalize SOW (Scope of Work)
  • Solicit weekly progress updates for all approved projects

In-Person QC

  • Visits local markets in the region to inspection renovation metrics
  • Visits homes at ACQ through Resale stages to ensure
    • Property level issues are addressed
    • Virtual systems are accomplishing productivity goals

What You’ll Need

  • High proficiency with technology
  • Experience with large home renovations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Strong focus, ability to stay organized and to multitask, managing multiple projects concurrently

Bonus points if you have

  • Prior experience with ‘flipping’ homes
  • Experience working in multiple US based geographies
  • Experience using Slack, Google Suite

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The U.S. pay range for this position in San Francisco is $88,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 12 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
