Outer Labs

We started Outer Labs in 2018 as a software development company for large organizations. We build custom solutions to help with hybrid work, operational efficiency, and employee experience, especially where physical space, user experience, and digital tools meet. Our main services include UX research and design, product strategy and management, custom software development, and strategic consulting.

We work with mid- to large-sized companies (500+ employees), focusing on leaders in workplace, facilities, real estate, employee experience, people operations, and digital workplace teams. We help organizations going through workplace changes or upgrading their tools. For example, we’ve developed systems to create focused work zones, applications for programming and forecasting, and temperature control solutions that give users more say over their environment.

Our team at Outer Labs brings together designers, technologists, and workplace experts from backgrounds in AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction), software, and experience design. We’re a mix of Silicon Valley and AEC veterans, with deep knowledge in architecture, full-stack software development, and user experience design.

We blend the precision of architects, the agility of product teams, and the pragmatism of experienced consultants. Our leadership includes Agnessa Todorova (CEO and Architect) and Shokofeh Darbari (CPO). We believe in a culture that truly cares about both our people and the products we build.
