We were founded in 2010 by three NASA scientists. We design, build, and operate a fleet of imaging satellites, along with online software, tools, and analytics. We provide global, daily satellite imagery and insights.

Our products include monitoring satellites like Owl™ and Earth insights that allow users to monitor broad areas, examine details, and measure changes over time. We offer daily monitoring (e.g., 3m PlanetScope), high-resolution tasking (e.g., 50cm SkySat), and derived data (e.g., Soil Water Content).

Our data and machine learning-powered analytics help decision makers in business, government, and various organizations develop technologies, drive revenue, power research, and inform decisions. We have built and deployed 450 satellites, currently operate over 200 in orbit, collecting over 350 million square kilometers of imagery daily.

Our work involves Aerospace, Analytics, Big Data, Imagery, Satellites, Hardware, Software, Space, GIS, and Geospatial, primarily within the Software Development industry. We have offices in San Francisco, CA; Berlin, Germany; Washington D.C., USA; Haarlem, Netherlands; Ljubljana, Slovenia; and Graz, Austria.
