We empower partners such as Ant Group, PayPal and Stripe to access new markets, connect with more customers, and accelerate their growth.

Our strength lies in our diverse global team with 50+ nationalities and 10+ international locations- all united around one goal – to deliver the best possible products and services to our partners and customers. While our company mission is to keep innovating global commerce, our internal mission is to #chooseaction, #beopen, #thinkcustomer, #gofurther and #wintogether

The Purpose:

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) at PPRO drives the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives that sit at the intersection of customer integration, product development, and engineering execution. Acting as the technical and operational bridge between external partners and internal teams, the TPM ensures that PPRO meets its commitments to enterprise customers through clear communication, structured planning, and technical depth.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interface & Technical Leadership

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for strategic partners, understanding their APIs, integration models, SLAs, and roadmaps.
  • Translate partner requirements and changes into actionable delivery plans for PPRO’s internal teams.
  • Build deep technical understanding of payment systems, data flows, and architectures to anticipate integration challenges and ensure compliance with PPRO standards.

Programme Leadership & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery of large, multi-team technical programs — from scoping and planning through to execution and launch.
  • Define and manage delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain visibility and accountability across engineering, product, architecture, and operations.
  • Establish and track KPIs, SLAs, and success metrics to measure program effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Orchestrate alignment between product, engineering, architecture, security, compliance, and partner success teams to deliver high-impact customer and partner outcomes.
  • Facilitate design discussions, trade-off decisions, and prioritization to balance scope, speed, and quality.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide clear, transparent communication across all levels — from technical teams to senior executives and external partners.
  • Deliver structured reporting, risk assessments, and escalation management to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Present technical concepts and business impacts in a clear, accessible way to diverse audiences.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify and drive process and tooling improvements that enhance the efficiency, predictability, and quality of program delivery.
  • Leverage agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence) and frameworks to streamline execution.
  • Promote innovation and continuous learning, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term strategic objectives.

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven record of managing programs directly with software engineering teams.
  • Experience building technical roadmaps, managing releases, and coordinating cross-functional schedules.
  • Strong technical understanding of system design, architecture, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in payments, finance or e-commerce domains.
  • Experience in project management disciplines (scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, critical path).
  • Familiarity with KPIs/SLA frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design thinking skills.

Success Criteria:

  • Consistent delivery of customer-critical programmes on time and to scope.
  • Clear alignment between partner requirements and internal technical priorities.
  • Reduction in delivery risk and friction between external partners and internal teams.
  • Recognition by both customers and internal stakeholders as a trusted, technically credible delivery leader.
