We were founded in 2014, operating in the book and periodical publishing industries. We provide a marketplace connecting authors and publishers with freelance publishing professionals, who offer services like book editing, design, marketing, ghostwriting, website development, and translation.
Our community includes over 1 million authors and 3,700 freelance professionals, helping to bring more than 15,000 books to market annually. We also offer free writing tools such as the Reedsy Book Editor, along with educational content through our blog, live events, and courses.

We are committed to climate action by reducing our emissions and offsetting the rest each year to be climate neutral. We also support philanthropic initiatives. We created the ‘Books for Better’ campaign in 2017 to support Room to Read, partnered with them again in 2021, and sponsored ‘The Write Ride’ in 2022 to raise funds for child literacy and girls’ education programs.
