Job Description
Job title: Medior SDET
Work location: Bengaluru (Hybrid)
Experience: 4-7 years
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Medior SDET with strong hands-on skills in Playwright automation along with solid manual testing expertise. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical abilities, a strong understanding of testing concepts, and the ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams. This hybrid role is based in Bengaluru and offers the opportunity to work on high-quality engineering deliverables within an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
- Perform manual functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing as needed.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks aligned with project requirements.
- Understand product workflows and create comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA to ensure high-quality releases.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint discussions, and test planning activities.
- Execute test cases, log defects, and track them to closure with proper documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of total experience in QA, with a mix of Automation (Playwright) and Manual Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in Playwright using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies.
- Experience writing detailed test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.
- Good knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good to Have
- Exposure to other automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- Basic understanding of SQL for backend data validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Knowledge of performance testing concepts (not mandatory).
