Combining deep industry expertise with advanced technologies — including cloud, AI, data analytics, and secure enterprise platforms — Samsung SDS America, the North America subsidiary, designs and delivers scalable, outcome-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and unlock new business value across finance, manufacturing, retail, and public sectors.
At Samsung SDS America, we don’t just follow the digital transformation—we lead it. As a global titan in IT services, we empower the world’s largest enterprises to bridge the gap between “what is” and “what’s next.”
By joining our North American team, you aren’t just taking an internship; you’re stepping into a high-octane lab where Cloud, AI, and Data Analytics collide to solve massive, real-world problems in finance, manufacturing, and beyond.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Undergrad or Graduate program (Graduation date: 2026 or 2027).
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
- Able to commit to a 10-week, 40-hour/week program starting June 8th, 2026.
- Ability to commute to our Ridgefield Park, NJ office at least 3 days per week.
Why Your Work Matters
Generative AI is changing the world, but enterprise-grade AI is a whole different story. As a Gen AI Development Intern, you won’t be fetching coffee—you’ll be building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and Co-pilot assistants that may actually go into production. You will help define the ethics, safety, and efficiency of AI that thousands of people may use.
Responsibilities:
You’ll sit at the intersection of Software Engineering and Business Strategy. Your goal is to take complex operational data and turn it into “thinking” systems.
Develop and test Gen AI features, moving from proof-of-concept to real-world deployment.
Design RAG pipelines and conduct prompt engineering experiments to make LLMs smarter and more accurate.
Translate human needs into technical user stories. You are the bridge between a client’s “I wish” and a developer’s “I built.”
Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and safety. You are the guardian of responsible AI.
Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and sprint planning like a full-time engineer.
You’re currently enrolled in an Undergrad or Grad program in Computer Science or relevant field (graduating in 2026 or 2027).
You speak Java or JavaScript and have a solid grasp of LLMs, Co-pilot concepts, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
You’re proficient with Git/ GitHub and common developer tools.
You enjoy creating and building. (We’d love to see your GitHub or a project portfolio!)
You can explain a complex “why” to a non-technical audience.
Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP is preferred.
Details:
- Start Date: June 8th, 2026 (10-week summer intensive).
- Commitment: 40 hours/week.
- Hybrid Life: Minimum 3 days onsite (experience the culture in person!).
- Comp: $25 per hour
