About the Role:
The Corporate Development Manager will help drive SecurityScorecard’s inorganic growth strategy, supporting M&A, strategic investments, and strategic alliances that accelerate distribution, expand product value, and strengthen our position as the trusted cyber risk layer across the ecosystem.
This role is highly cross-functional and execution-oriented. You’ll build conviction through market and competitive research, formulate M&A swimlanes, map market segments, identify targets, develop strategic theses and business cases, coordinate diligence and integration planning, and help structure partnerships that create measurable outcomes. You’ll partner closely with Finance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and GTM.
What You’ll Do:
Corporate development strategy & pipeline
- Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of acquisition, investment, and strategic alliance opportunities aligned to our product and go-to-market roadmap.
- Develop a crisp point-of-view on “why now / why us” for priority themes (e.g., supply chain risk, threat intel, security & risk operations, cyber insurance).
- Build relationships with founders, investors, and bankers; manage inbound opportunities with clear fit/no-fit rationale.
Market, product, and GTM diligence
- Lead strategic diligence: market sizing and structure, competitive landscape, customer needs, product differentiation, and route-to-market.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to evaluate technical fit at a high level (architecture, data, integrations, security posture) and translate findings into decisions.
- Coordinate with Sales/GTM leaders to assess commercial fit, co-sell potential, and distribution synergies.
Deal process execution
- Manage end-to-end deal process mechanics: NDAs, process timelines, diligence trackers, workstream owners, readouts, and decision memos.
- Coordinate with Finance on valuation inputs and assumptions, ensuring the strategic narrative and diligence findings translate into decision-ready recommendations.
- Support negotiation preparation (terms, risks, deal structure) alongside Legal and executive sponsors.
Strategic alliances & partnerships
- Help identify, structure, and launch strategic alliances (referral, reseller, OEM, platform, data partnerships).
- Create partner value propositions and joint plans (what we’re building together, who sells, how we measure success).
- Establish operating rhythms and success metrics to ensure alliances scale beyond a launch announcement.
Integration planning & value capture
- Partner with functional leaders to define Day 1 / Day 30 / Day 100 integration plans, owners, and milestones.
- Track post-close execution and value capture; surface risks early and drive resolution across teams.
- For partnerships, help ensure activation (enablement, messaging, pipeline motions, product hooks) and measurable impact.
Executive communication
- Produce concise memos, IC/board-ready decks, and stakeholder updates that synthesize complex diligence into clear decisions.
- Bring clarity: what we learned, what matters, what to do next.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity/VC, strategy, consulting, or a similar role with exposure to M&A and/or strategic partnership execution.
- Demonstrated ability to run cross-functional processes and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving (market + competitive analysis, thesis development, synergy articulation).
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with a track record of producing decision-ready materials.
- AI fluency: practical experience using AI and modern productivity tools to improve work quality and throughput (research, synthesis, process automation, documentation).
- High ownership, sound judgment, and comfort operating with ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Cyber Security and/or B2B SaaS (bonus for third-party risk, threat intel, security operations, cyber insurance).
- Experience supporting integration planning and value capture post-close.
- Experience helping build or scale strategic alliances (co-sell, channel, OEM, platform, data partnerships).
- Familiarity with financial concepts (unit economics, valuation drivers, deal structures) even if Finance owns modeling.
Benefits:
Specific to each country, we offer a competitive salary, stock options, Health benefits, and unlimited PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursements, and much more!
The estimated total compensation range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards and equity, among other company benefits.
