About Shardeum
We are an EVM-based Layer 1 blockchain that uses dynamic state sharding to increase transaction capacity with each new node. We aim to be India’s EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain, built for fast, low-cost transactions, letting millions of users securely participate in the on-chain ecosystem. We plan to expand on-chain adoption by helping users move from centralized exchanges in India to on-chain platforms.
Our mainnet is expected to launch in 2025. During 2025, we have several activities planned, including a token-only launch, EVM smart contracts, governance milestones, and community-led initiatives. Specific events for 2025 include:
- Launching an SHM Airdrop Verification Portal
- Enabling SHM trading, deposits, and withdrawals on supported exchanges
- An SHM token split (1:240)
- An EVM mainnet upgrade
We also organized a PayFi mini hackathon for building real-world payment applications on our platform.
