What Your Team Does

As an Engineering Manager for our Documents squad in Paris, you will lead a small and very collaborative team of 4 people. In this role, you will act as a technical manager, balancing architecture design, critical technical choices, and hands-on implementation. Your mission is to drive engineering excellence. You will also focus on supporting the development of engineers within the squad while expanding your own management capabilities.

  • Implement Solutions: You will jump in and write code to solve complex technical challenges alongside your small team.

  • Simplify Designs: You will simplify complex technical structures to improve the maintainability, usability, and reliability of our framework.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: You will partner closely with product management and other teams to align technical strategies with business objectives.
  • Deliver Outcomes: You will take ownership of planning and delivering complex technical products, ensuring high-quality results.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We are looking for a Shifter who is…

  • Code-Savvy in C#: You have extensive hands-on experience in software development, including significant expertise in C# - if you’re more a Java expert but willing to evolve in a Microsoft environment, we might still consider it!
  • An Experienced Lead: You have at least 1 prior experience mentoring or managing small teams as a Team Lead or Manager looking to grow your leadership path.
  • Growth-Minded: You possess a strong willingness to test and learn, adaptability, and an appetite for change.
  • An Architectural Thinker: You are skilled at providing technical direction, evaluating trade-offs, and making sound technical decisions.
  • Bilingual: You are a fluent English speaker, and having a command of French is a strong asset for our Paris office.
  • Collaborative: You have strong cross-functional skills to partner effectively with stakeholders across product and engineering teams.
