We provide AI solutions for the insurance industry. We started in 2012 as part of an actuarial consulting firm, initially using AI and machine learning (ML) to identify early workers’ compensation claims.
In 2018, we spun out as an independent company, based in Boston’s Seaport District, to offer complete underwriting and claims management solutions. Our SaaS platform uses a data lake with tens of millions of insurance policies and claims, plus economic, health, geographic, and demographic data. Our solutions improve loss ratios and profitability by accurately predicting underwriting and claim risks. They also reduce quote turnaround times and claim expenses through automation.
We serve mid-market and large insurers in the workers’ compensation, group health, and property & casualty markets. Our clients include primary carriers, third-party administrators, self-insured entities, brokers, captives, excess and surplus carriers, managing general agents and underwriters, professional employers’ organizations, reinsurers, and risk pools. Clients have reported results like a 13% decrease in combined loss ratio and expense ratio, an 86% increase in Direct Written Premium per Employee, and an 80% decrease in quote turnaround time for underwriting. For claims management, clients have realized over $300 million in savings.
