Backend Developer (Python) – Contract / Remote
We’re looking for a Backend Developer (Python) to join our team at MindPal for an exciting project in the telemetry and insights domain. You’ll work with an early-stage US startup, helping to shape integrations and backend systems that turn raw telemetry data into instant insights.
This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys autonomy, building real products, and solving engineering challenges in a fast-moving environment.
🟪 Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain backend integrations (Datadog, New Relic, Jira, GitHub).
Develop and optimize Python-based microservices (FastAPI / Flask).
Collaborate with a small distributed team (PM + GoLang developer + client’s engineers).
Support infrastructure setup (AWS Lambda, Docker).
Contribute to auth implementation (Clerk) and API performance improvements.

Requirements
🟪 Requirements:
2+ years of experience in backend development (Python).
Strong understanding of REST APIs, async programming, and integrations.
Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred).
Ability to debug and work independently with minimal guidance.
Good communication skills in English (daily collaboration with US-based team).
🟪 Nice to Have:
Experience with GoLang or TypeScript.
Knowledge of telemetry, monitoring tools (Datadog / New Relic).
Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React / Next.js).
