About Skyways
Founded in Austin, Texas, in 2017, we create autonomous, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) for cargo transport. Our long-range, heavy-payload drone solutions are built for operations in difficult environments.
We operate two main aircraft models: the V2 and the V3. The V2 is our current operational aircraft. It has a maximum range of 450 miles, a useful load of 30 lbs, a cargo volume of 1 ft³, and can fly for about 8 hours using JP-5 / Jet A-1 fuel. We use it for daily missions, including in international waters and harsh conditions.
The V3 is our next-generation aircraft. It’s currently being tested, with nearly 200 test flights completed. The V3 will replace the V2, offering a maximum range of over 1000 miles, a useful load of 100 lbs, a cargo volume of 7 ft³, and an endurance of about 20 hours, also using JP-5 / Jet A-1 fuel. We expect the V3 to be ready for missions in 2026.
Our Dual-Hybrid Design™ allows aircraft to take off like a helicopter and cruise like an airplane, giving them higher payload capacity and greater range. Our technology stack includes aerospace engineering, automation, AI, and computer vision. The US Military, its allies, and the oil and gas industry use our services to manage logistics, speed up transport, improve safety, and increase efficiency.
