Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Strategy Consultant / Solution Architect to lead the discovery, mapping, and modernization strategy for a complex, 20+ year-old legacy system. This role acts as the critical bridge between business objectives and technical execution, guiding a team of 2 developers toward a scalable, cloud-native future.
Key Details
Format: Hybrid (Intensive onsite workshops in Warsaw + remote online consultations).
Engagement: Flexible staff-augmentation (Part-time weekly hours + dedicated workshop days).
Team: Working alongside 2 Developers.
Languages: Full professional fluency in Polish and English is mandatory.
Core Responsibilities
1. Legacy Discovery & System Mapping
Lead “archaeological” mapping of complex IT environments with limited or no existing documentation.
Identify core modules, dependencies, and architectural constraints of systems over 20 years old.
Clearly articulate risks, technical debt, and limitations of the current landscape.
2. Business Architecture & Requirements
Facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit functional and non-functional requirements.
Perform AS-IS / TO-BE process analysis.
Translate high-level business needs into actionable technical roadmaps.
3. Target Architecture & Cloud Advisory
Design a modern replacement concept for a multi-module application.
Ensure all designs comply with corporate Governance & Compliance standards.
Define integration strategies and remove existing performance bottlenecks.
4. Modernization Strategy & Documentation
Recommend pragmatic migration paths (e.g., Re-platforming, Refactoring) tailored to business priorities.
Deliver high-quality architectural blueprints, system maps, and decision logs.
Ensure knowledge transfer to client teams to prevent future information silos.
Qualifications
Technical & Professional Requirements
Cloud Expertise: Proven experience with AWS (including database services), Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID authentication.
Modern Tech Stack: Familiarity with Power Platform and AI-driven capabilities to drive innovation.
Workshop Facilitation: Proven ability to lead 1–2 day high-impact onsite sessions in Warsaw, driving decision-making among senior stakeholders.
The “Bridge” Skillset: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa.
Experience: Significant track record in legacy modernization projects for large-scale enterprise systems.
