Job Description
This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the Krakow Office (Fabryczna Street) a minimum of three days per week.
The Basics:
We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role will play a key part in supporting the Company’s close, reporting, and audit processes while helping drive operational excellence in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in US GAAP, a hands‑on approach to accounting operations, and a continuous‑improvement mindset. This role offers the opportunity to further develop technical and operational accounting skills while contributing to the Company’s ambitious goals.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare monthly journal entries and associated account reconciliations.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze monthly flux and variance explanations for assigned accounts and areas, providing clear and concise insights to management.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring deadlines are met in a high growth environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls, and assist with the implementation of enhancements.
- Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, support of audit requests, and coordination with internal stakeholders
- Support intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations and eliminations, as applicable.
- Assist with ad hoc analyses, special projects, and process initiatives as assigned.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Experience with inter-company accounting; multi-currency and international experience a plus.
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support broader team objectives.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in an evolving, high growth environment.
