Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • CMDB Management & Design: Serve as the primary owner and administrator of the ServiceNow CMDB, focusing on Hardware (HAM) and Software (SAM) Asset Management.

  • Process Implementation: Design, configure, and maintain CI (Configuration Item) classes, attributes, relationships, and discovery patterns to accurately model our IT ecosystem.

  • Data Integrity & Health: Proactively monitor, audit, and ensure the health, accuracy, and completeness of all asset data within the CMDB. Implement and enforce data standards.

  • Lifecycle Automation: Develop and automate IT asset lifecycle workflows in ServiceNow (e.g., Request, Receive, Deploy, Manage, Retire) to support ITAM Field Services and other IT teams.

  • HAM/SAM Support: Manage the HAM and SAM modules within ServiceNow, including hardware asset tracking, software license compliance, and reconciliation.

  • User Support & Training: Act as the go-to expert for the ITAM Field Services team, providing training and support to ensure proper use of the ServiceNow platform for asset-related tasks.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Create and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and metrics for management to showcase compliance, cost savings, and lifecycle status.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Administrator with a strong focus on the CMDB and IT Asset Management (ITAM) module.

  • Hands-on expertise in implementing and managing HAM (Hardware Asset Management) and SAM (Software Asset Management) processes within ServiceNow.

  • Deep understanding of CMDB concepts, including CI Class Hierarchy, Baseline, and Mid Servers.

  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping is a significant plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for data accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required. IT Asset Management (CIS-ITAM) certification is a major advantage
