Job description

The QA Training Specialist plays a critical role in strengthening the technical, behavioral, and professional capabilities of Testronic Manilaโ€™s Quality Assurance (QA) workforce. This role is responsible for delivering structured onboarding, technical training, compliance programs, and continuous development initiatives aligned with global standards, operational requirements, and HR objectives.

The position supports the growth and readiness of QA Testers, Analysts, Associate Test Leads (ATLs), and project teams through structured learning programs, coaching, training analytics, and process-driven development. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on QA experience and certification readiness (e.g., ISTQB or equivalent) to ensure training quality meets global benchmarks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Strategy and Delivery:

  • Partner with the L&D Manager to design and execute training strategies aligned with HR and organizational objectives.
  • Deliver onboarding, QA technical training, and skills development sessions for testers and relevant teams.
  • Facilitate training on QA fundamentals, testing workflows, bug reporting, test case execution, and project quality standards.
  • Conduct soft skills, compliance, and HR-led training sessions as required.

Instructional Design and Materials Development

  • Develop engaging learning materials, including manuals, simulations, e-learning modules, and workshop content.
  • Ensure training documentation remains current and aligned with tools, processes, and industry standards.
  • Create digital learning content such as video guides, microlearning modules, and gamified learning assets.

Training Needs Analysis and Coaching

  • Conduct training needs assessments in coordination with QA Managers and Operations.
  • Recommend learning interventions to address technical, behavioral, and performance gaps.
  • Provide coaching support and track employee progress for HR documentation and performance monitoring.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with QA Managers, Test Leads, and Project Directors to ensure training supports operational and project goals.
  • Support HR initiatives related to career development pathways and competency frameworks.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of certification readiness programs (e.g., ISTQB and internal QA pathways).

Training Metrics, Reporting, and Insights

  • Track training attendance, assessments, feedback, and effectiveness indicators.
  • Analyze learning data and generate insights for HR, QA Leadership, and Operations.
  • Prepare and present training progress reports and recommendations to the L&D Manager and leadership team.

Continuous Improvement and Compliance

  • Integrate learner feedback and emerging QA methodologies into training programs.

  • Ensure training activities comply with confidentiality, data privacy, and client security requirements.

  • Support audits and documentation requests related to training and learning programs.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in any field (Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, HR Development, Education, or related disciplines preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on QA experience in software or game testing.

  • At least 2 years of experience in training delivery, instructional design, or Learning & Development within a technical or QA-focused environment.

  • QA certification such as ISTQB (Foundation or Advanced) or equivalent.

  • Experience with game testing workflows across multiple platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.

  • Experience using bug tracking and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Proven experience coaching testers for certification readiness and advanced QA practices.

  • Strong instructional design, facilitation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple training initiatives and deadlines.

  • Strong collaboration skills, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Paid leaves.
