πŸš€ ProductπŸ”΅ Mid-level

Job description

Co-founded by Peter Duncan, ex-UK Chief Scout and BBC Blue Peter man, and Alex Pazderski, an avid hiker and acclaimed expedition kayaker, we are among the best experts in organizing walking & cycling holidays and adventure trips for independently-minded people. Starting in 2009, by developing several pioneering trekking itineraries in the Balkans, we now offer 750+ self-guided walking holidays and cycling tours as well as a range of meticulously curated small group and privately guided tours, family and discovery trips. We serve our customers anywhere they go, providing 247 support.

The Role

In this role, you will research destinations across Spain, design immersive walking, hiking, and cycling itineraries, select accommodations, and coordinate luggage and passenger transfers. You will ensure every detail of each trip aligns with our standards of authenticity, sustainability, and independent travel. Your expertise in adventure travel, logistics, and route planning will be essential in delivering seamless, thoughtfully crafted experiences for our travellers.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Trip Creation & Development: Research, design, and refine self-guided hiking and cycling itineraries that are engaging, well-paced, and aligned with our brand. Develop each route within a set timeframe and pass the finalised version to the Operations team.

  • Route Planning: Map and verify routes, considering terrain, difficulty levels, transport options, and key points of interest.

  • Accommodation & Supplier Coordination: Identify and collaborate with local hotels, guesthouses, transfer providers, and other partners to ensure high-quality experiences. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while sourcing new, reliable partners. Stay updated on local events, weather, and potential travel disruptions.

  • Trip Pricing & Margins: Calculate pricing and ensure healthy profit margins by negotiating supplier rates, considering operational costs, and aligning with the company’s pricing strategy.

  • Trip Documentation: Prepare detailed trip notes, maps, GPX files, and travel guides to enhance the client experience.

  • Quality Control: Gather and analyse feedback from travellers and local partners to continually improve itineraries.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Destination Manager for Western Europe. Assist the Product Team by updating itineraries, pricing, and descriptions in our systems. Support Adventure Sales Specialists with customer inquiries related to their trips.

  • Sustainability & Authenticity: Ensure all trips align with our commitment to responsible travel and showcase local cultures and off-the-beaten-path experiences.

  • Pre-departure checks: Verify transport schedules and inform Ops or customers directly of any disruptions.

  • Emergency handling: Manage emergency calls and logs while clients are on the ground, providing real-time solutions for unforeseen issues such as supplier errors, accommodation closures, or travel disruptions.

  • Passion for adventure travel and active tourism, particularly hiking and cycling

  • Proven experience in designing, managing, or operating self-guided walking or cycling holidays

  • Proficiency in route mapping tools

  • Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail

  • Very good English proficiency (both written and spoken)

  • Excellent communication skills (email, phone, and written content)

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining accuracy

  • Availability to travel when needed to verify routes, inspect accommodations, and maintain supplier relationships.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with a remote team

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

  • Friendly, professional demeanour with a high level of personal integrity

  • Commitment to responsible travel and sustainability, aligning with our company values

  • Remote position with flexible working hours

  • Freelance contractor agreement with competitive compensation

  • Opportunities for professional growth in a rapidly expanding adventure travel company

  • Outstanding learning and development opportunities, including training on our internal tools and trip design processes

  • Collaborative, multinational team with a passion for responsible and adventure travel

The deadline for applications is 31 January 2026.
