We’re looking for a Paraplanner to join our established Gateshead team — someone positive, good‑natured, and easy‑going, who takes pride in their work and values being part of a supportive environment.
We’re open to individuals who see their future as a career Paraplanner, as well as those who would like to develop their skills with a longer‑term view to progressing into an Adviser position.
The team
You’ll be joining a close‑knit team of 10 paraplanners, led by our Regional Manager, Gemma. The team has a great mix of ages and experience levels.
It’s a collaborative, welcoming environment where personalities matter, learning is encouraged, and people support each other day‑to‑day.
The role
This role can be shaped around your experience and career goals. We’d love to hear from:
- Experienced Paraplanners
- Part‑qualified or trainee Paraplanners
- (IO) Intelligent office exposure would be advantageous for us.
You’ll support Advisers by producing accurate, high‑quality paraplanning and documentation, while continuing to develop technically. For those aspiring to move into an advising role in the future, there is scope to build the right foundations and gain valuable exposure over time.
Responsibilities
- Analysis - full analysis of clients’ requirements, development of cash flow models and accurate recording of client data
- Solutions - construction of financial planning solutions (investment, retirement, long term care planning, tax and IHT planning) supported by the production of computer models and reports
- Recommendations - preparation of letters and reports (liaising with administrators), taking full responsibility for the client files and back office IT records throughout the advice process
- Reviews - preparation of client reviews, updating cash flow models, investment performance reviews and production of supporting reports, discussion documents and computer models
- Client Relationship Building - servicing client’s day to day needs, liaison by telephone, letter, email and attending meetings, including presenting solutions and recommendations
- Coordination - working with colleagues within the Financial Planning team to ensure application and provider forms are prepared as required and clients are updated throughout the process
- Partners – working with other professional advisers e.g. Solicitors and Accountants to implement an agreed action plan
About You

- Part or Diploma Qualified

- Interested in building a long‑term career in paraplanning
- Experienced in a paraplanning or financial planning environment (preferred, but not essential depending on level)
