Job Description
We are looking for a talented Global Internal Communications Manager to join our dynamic Global Internal Communications team for a 12-month FTC.
In this role, you will work closely with the Global Internal Communications Lead and Senior Internal Communications Executive to deliver our internal communications strategy and plan. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across global regions to ensure consistent messaging, support key business initiatives, and lead on our internal communication channel strategy.
Focussing on developing content, campaigns and planning along with channel management, our current priorities include embedding our Vision 2030 five-year business strategy, building brand advocacy through impactful storytelling, and evolving our channels to engage 22,000 colleagues worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Business Services teams (HR, IT, Digital, Corporate Responsibility, Risk) to deliver engaging internal communications aligned with strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement creative campaigns that raise awareness of our capabilities and support global change programmes.
- Manage our internal communication channel strategy to ensure it evolves in line with our digital transformation.
- Oversee key channels including our global newsletter, Viva Engage, and SharePoint intranet, ensuring content is fresh, relevant, and impactful.
- Provide best practice guidance, toolkits, and training to regional teams to ensure consistent messaging worldwide.
- Manage supplier relationships (e.g., Poppulo) and optimise tools for maximum engagement.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a central team (e.g. in a Centre of Excellence or hub and spoke model), with regional teams in global locations is preferred
- Experience using email platforms, specifically Poppulo, is required
- Experience in producing impactful, compelling global communications that drive brand advocacy and corporate pride for a diverse internal audience, including non-office-based colleagues and colleagues, based around the world.
- Significant experience in internal campaign management, executing campaign plans and delivering on time and in budget.
- A journalistic understanding of good content with excellent copywriting and storytelling skills, with demonstrable experience in simplifying complex topics to create clear and persuasive copy.
- A passion for people-centric communications working closely with HR teams.
- Experience in effectively managing relationships with creative agencies and internal marketing team to deliver fresh, new ideas while working to tight budgets.
- Familiarity with the MS Office 365 suite, particularly community management and content amplification across Viva Engage.
- Line management experience preferred.
