Cantonese Interpreter (English–Cantonese)

Work From Home | Malaysia

12-Month Renewable Contract | Night Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cantonese Interpreter to provide real-time, accurate, and confidential interpretation between English and Mandarin speakers. This role supports a wide range of live phone interactions, including:

• General customer inquiries
• Healthcare, insurance & government-related calls
• Utilities & financial services
• Travel and transportation
• Emergency and high-priority situations (e.g., 911 calls)

This is a remote role, requiring a professional home environment conducive to uninterrupted communication.

Work Schedule

• 8 hours per day + 1-hour break

• 40 hours per week

• Night shift

• Start times between 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM

• Shift rotation every 3 months

• Two rotating off-days weekly

• Availability to work on public holidays (²⁴⁄₇ operations)

• Proficiency in English and Mandarin (verbal and written)

• Strong listening and communication skills

• Ability to work rotational night shifts

• Dedicated, quiet, and secure home workspace

• Based in Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand

• Possess a smartphone (Android 12+ / iOS 15+) or a laptop with the latest OS

Compensation & Benefits

• RM30 per hour
• SOCSO & EPF contributions (Malaysia)
