Software Engineer
VGW is an interactive entertainment company, harnessing technology and creativity to deliver world-class, free-to-play online social games.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering team in Poland and are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join the team.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality solutions through solid engineering practices, collaborating with Product Managers and Principal Engineers to drive product development and maximize value.

In terms of our tech stack, we host our docker containerised apps on AWS, sometimes in ECS but moving to EKS Kubernetes. In the containers, we run Kotlin on the JVM. TypeScript runs our client side where it’s mostly React. Our databases are PostgreSQL and DynamoDB with Snowflake as our Data warehouse.
Key requirements:
- Proficiency inJava or Kotlinfor backend development;
- Experience with cloud technologies, ideally AWS and Kubernetesfor infrastructure automation;
- Knowledge of SQL and noSQL databases (DynamoDB);
- Understanding of Apache Kafka;
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver Product Features: From infrastructure to UI;
- Contribute to Design Sessions: Attend and participate in design and architectural discussions with the engineering team;
- Collaborate and Work Independently: Work autonomously and with the team;
- Focus on Learning & Development: Continuously improve the skills and fill knowledge gaps.
