The Inventory Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in stock reconciliations, GRIR management, and month-end processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform daily and weekly stock accounting tasks and assist with ad hoc inventory issues.
Prepare and analyse inventory reports and reconciliations between multiple systems.
Manage GRIR (Goods Received/Invoice Received) processes and ensure timely resolution.
Liaise with distribution centres and the supply chain to verify inventory accuracy.
Support month-end reporting and assist with financial audits.
Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve inventory accounting processes.
CPA / CA qualification or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in retail, FMCG, or manufacturing.
Proven experience in inventory accounting and reconciliations.
Proficiency in SAP (medium to advanced level)–essential.
Strong Excel skills (medium to advanced) for reporting and analysis.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
