Job Description
Sales Lead Italy – Launch & Grow MyParcel in Italy
MyParcel, a fast-growing e-commerce shipping platform already thriving in the Netherlands and Belgium, is launching in Italy. We make the power of leading carriers accessible to every online retailer through a simple, scalable platform and service that goes the extra mile. Italy is our next growth market and everything is set for a spectacular launch.
As Sales Lead Italy, you will be the very first MyParcel hire in the country and the commercial force behind our Italian growth story. This is a rare opportunity to build a market from the ground up with the backing of a mature, established SaaS organization. You will be hands-on from day one, driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across Italy. You’ll immerse yourself in the local e-commerce landscape, build a strong pipeline, close the first key accounts, and spot opportunities where logistics, shipping technology, and online retail intersect. You’ll also form partnerships and develop routes to market that accelerate adoption while positioning MyParcel as the go-to shipping platform for Italian online retailers.
At the same time, you’ll lay the foundations for scale, shaping early processes, refining playbooks, and creating the structure that will support a growing local sales team. If you perform strongly and show clear potential to grow, the role can evolve into a Managing Director or Country Leader position as the business scales.
You’ll report directly to the Managing Director EMEA in the Netherlands and be supported by three Customer Service Agents who help you and your customers succeed.
We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, proactive, and energized by building something from zero to one. Ideally, you live in or near Milan, bring a strong network and have a solid understanding of the Italian e-commerce market along with experience in logistics or Shipping SaaS. You’re a proven new-business closer, resilient, hands-on, independent, yet comfortable collaborating with international colleagues.
This hybrid role lets you work from home or from our office in Montano Lucino (CO), just north of Milan.
It’s the chance to own a market launch, sign the first customers with your own hands, and grow into a country leadership role with visible, lasting impact on MyParcel and the Italian e-commerce ecosystem.
What you need to do:
• Win and grow customers:
o Personally prospect, pitch, and close the first 100 e-commerce customers (Phase 1);
o Develop a repeatable and scalable sales playbook (inbound & outbound);
o Manage the full commercial funnel: lead generation, conversion, onboarding, retention;
o Build strong relationships with SME merchants, e-commerce agencies, and platforms.
• Build the sales foundation:
o Set up the local CRM and pipeline processes, sales dashboards, and reporting cadence;
o Shape pricing proposals and negotiate customer contracts;
o Work with Marketing on campaigns, content, and events that drive qualified leads.
• Partner for growth:
o Identify and secure local partnerships with e-commerce platforms, logistics players, and associations;
o Collaborate with Operations and Customer Service to ensure smooth onboarding and high NPS;
o Translate customer feedback into concrete products and process improvements.
• Grow and lead the team:
o Hire, onboard, and coach Sales Executives and Account Managers as business scales;
o Set clear targets, track KPIs, and build a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
Qualifications
What you need to bring:
• 7+ years in sales or business development in e-commerce, logistics and/or SaaS;
• Proven B2B hunter profile with a strong personal sales track record;
• Experience launching and / or scaling a business In preferably the Italian market;
• Solid understanding of Italian e-commerce and parcel logistics;
• Networks with merchants, agencies, or carriers is a strong plus;
• Fluent in English, native in Italian (spoken and written);
• Entrepreneurial, analytical, and hands-on;
• Natural leader and coach who develop others and drives accountability.
