Whizz is an innovative e-bike/e-moped subscription service catering to delivery drivers in the US. We partner with leading companies like DoorDash and Grubhub, offering affordable $159/month rental subscriptions to independent delivery workers. In just two years, Whizz has grown rapidly, managing a fleet of 2,500 e-bikes primarily in New York and New Jersey, achieving a remarkable 250% year-over-year growth rate. Our mission is to serve an underserved audience of gig workers, aiming to manage the largest electric two-wheeler fleet in the US. Our dynamic team of 90 people is expanding quickly.
About the Role:
We are looking for an initiative-driven and responsible Business Assistant to support the operations department in our New York based start-up. If you are an analytical thinker, have mastered Excel and Google Sheets with an active life position, and a desire to develop, we are waiting for you in our team!
Requirements:
1+ year of experience where youβve demonstrated a track record of success.
The ability to transform data into insights using Excel and Google Sheets.
Full comfort navigating Miro, Notion, and various CRM systems.
You view change as an opportunity and can pivot your focus quickly.
Emotional maturity and a steady hand during busy seasons.
Someone who doesn’t just do the job but looks for ways to develop and improve.
An eye for detail that ensures high-quality output every time.
Effective English (B2) to collaborate seamlessly with the global team.
Manage daily operational reporting in Google Sheets and prepare insightful ad-hoc reports to support decision-making.
Coordinate department activities and monitor task completion across operations and cross-functional teams.
Lead operational projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all milestones are met.
Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline internal workflows.
Develop and maintain clear manuals, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and guidelines for the team.
Act as a key point of contact, interacting with related departments to ensure seamless supporting activities.
Execute essential operational tasks and provide hands-on support for ongoing company initiatives.
