I manage the business and finance side of things while my partner takes care of the construction itself. As we continue to grow, Iβm looking for someone to take over our financial operations so I can focus on strategy and business development.

Weβre looking for an Accounting & Financial Manager- someone who thrives on keeping financials organized, accurate, and running smoothly. We’re looking for someone who isnβt afraid to roll up their sleevesβsomeone comfortable with hands-on tasks like managing paperwork, following up on details, and tracking information in Excel log
Youβll also own our financial operations, from managing accounts payable and receivable to payroll and financial reporting.
More specifically, you will be in charge of:
π Invoice Processing & Accounts Management: Handle POs, review invoices, track payments, and keep financial records up to date.
π³ Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Ensure all transactions are correctly categorized and resolve any discrepancies.
π Financial Forecasting & Reporting: Create forecasts, analyze overhead, and provide financial insights for better decision-making.
π Payroll Management: Process payroll in Gusto, address payroll-related queries, and ensure accurate financial tracking.
π Compliance & Contract Management: Manage subcontractor processes, documentation, and compliance-related tasks.
π Process Improvements: Identify ways to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
π Cross-Functional Support: Work with other departments to provide data-driven financial insights.

Working Hours β°: This is a full-time role (8 hours per day), and weβd like you to have at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern Time (NYC) to collaborate effectively with our team.
To excel in this role, you need to have:
β 5 years + experience in a similar role.
β Prior or current experience working remotely supporting virtual teams.
β Someone who is a self-starter and demonstrates consistency in delivering high-quality work.
β Accounting/Bookkeeping Background: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial best practices.
β QuickBooks Expertise: Especially with QuickBooks Desktop for tracking, categorizing, and reconciling transactions.
β Microsoft Excel Proficiency: Solid skills for financial forecasting, data analysis, and report generation.
β Strong Communication Skills: Ability to handle financial discussions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
β Detail-Oriented & Organized: Ensures accuracy in all financial records and meets deadlines efficiently.
β Time Management: Can juggle multiple financial tasks, prioritize effectively, and stay on top of key deadlines.
Brownie Points for:
β Prior experience in the construction industry β Understanding subcontractor processes, lien releases, and COI tracking.
β Ability to create Excel macros to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
β Knowledge of US GAAP for deeper financial understanding.
β Experience with financial modelling & ROI analysis to provide strategic insights.
β Controller-level capabilities for those interested in scaling their role over time.
Whatβs in it for you?
π° Salary- $3000 - $4000 per month*
π Full-time - Fully remote: work from anywhere with at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern Time.
π Paid Time Off - 20 days per year
