Responsibilities

Clarity is seeking an Accounting Implementation Enablement Specialist to join our growing Product Team, reporting to the Contracts and Billing Product Lead. This is a unique and pivotal role that will directly contribute to the success and evolution of Clarity’s billing and accounting products. You will leverage your deep accounting expertise to guide new customers through the implementation process, craft accounting trainings for our staff and our customers, and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products by translating customer needs into actionable insights for the product team. You will also provide hands on accounting support to schools and will be directly responsible for creating each new school’s first journal entries as well as designing their journal entry creation process. Your experience, ideally within K-12 school accounting, will be invaluable as you work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and drive product innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Clarity’s Sales and Customer Success teams to deliver specialized accounting support and serve as the primary resource for setup and integration questions throughout customer implementation.
  • Lead billing and accounting product implementation for new customers, coach them through their initial journal entries, and provide guidance on reconciliation processes.
  • Learn the accounting practices of each new school and create their first Clarity journal entries.
  • Use learnings from manual journal entry creation to design an automated journal entry process for each new school using tools like excel macros.
  • Support the setup and adoption of future direct accounting integrations, including QuickBooks and Sage Intacct, by helping customers configure them within Clarity.
  • Own, develop and maintain an internal accounting knowledge base and external training materials for customs, including how-to guides, documentation, and videos.
  • Work closely with the Product Team and Engineering Team to inform product decisions and identify accounting needs based on your direct customer interactions and accounting expertise.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support teams to ensure a cohesive and positive customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Accounting expertise is essential, with a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices. CPA certification is highly desired.
  • Significant experience in an accounting role, with experience in accounting at K-12 private schools being highly desired.
  • High level of proficiency in excel, particularly in creating macros that automate journal entry processes.
  • Excellent technical acumen and ability to communicate technical accounting details to any audience.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage many customer engagements simultaneously and keep them on track.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear and effective training materials and documentation.
  • A proactive and customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping customers succeed.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Why take this job?

  • You will make major contributions to the development of Clarity’s billing and accounting products.
  • You will be challenged and have opportunities for accelerated personal and professional growth.
  • You will work with incredibly talented and dedicated team members.
  • You will be paid competitively, receive stock options and have a variety of other benefits, including 100% company-sponsored health, medical and dental insurance.
  • Clarity has grown from 0 to 60 employees in under 3 years and is poised to continue growing quickly.
  • Clarity has strong product market fit and extremely strong NPS.
  • Clarity is uniquely positioned to change the landscape of education.
  • Clarity is a fully remote work environment, but also provides both team specific and all company sponsored on-sites every year.
