About Clarity
We provide a platform for K-12 private schools that manages financial aid, enrollment contracts, tuition payments, and incidental billing. Our platform gives administrators insights into their school’s financial health, helping them make informed decisions and attract, enroll, and retain families.
We take a listen-first approach to product development, building solutions that adapt to existing school processes. Each school partner receives a dedicated Client Success Manager with at least 10 years of experience in the school processes our product supports.
Founded in 2021, we now serve over 1,400 schools. Our team collectively has over 250 years of experience working in schools. Our partner schools give us a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 92, and our Client Success Team holds over 5,000 meetings with school partners annually. 94% of families rate our support 4 out of 5 or higher.
Mission & Values
Our mission has three parts:
- Guiding families to discover, plan for, and access educational opportunities.
- Supporting schools in adapting and operating effectively to serve future families.
- Empowering employees to do fulfilling work and solve complex problems.
We call these principles “The Clarity Way”:
- We first seek to clarify: We understand root causes and ground truths through active listening, questioning, and seeking multiple sources to simplify complex processes.
- We work in “Owl years”: We strive for efficiency and challenge assumptions to compress timelines, aiming for significant results in shorter periods.
- We don’t shy away from adventure: We make decisions with imperfect information and adapt swiftly to new circumstances, viewing challenges as growth opportunities.
- Freedom of flight: We operate with entrepreneurialism and individual autonomy, trusting employees and minimizing unnecessary structure.
- Smoothness of flight: We invest in processes and alignment to ensure sustained speed and efficient operation.
- We’re focused: We are intentional in creating value and biased toward action, with employees acting as owners to solve problems.
Team & Culture
Our team, whom we call “Clarifiers,” consists of 51-200 employees with diverse backgrounds and experience. We have customer empathy, technical expertise, and a commitment to making a difference.
Our culture values entrepreneurialism and individual autonomy; we expect employees to earn autonomy through consistent performance and high-quality decision-making. Internally, we default to trust and assume positive intent from teammates. We avoid unnecessary structure and constantly look for ways to eliminate it. We bias towards action, encouraging individuals to act as owners when solving problems.
Benefits & Perks
We offer several benefits, including medical, dental, and health insurance, equity for full-time employees, a 401(k) plan, and paid parental leave. Our employees can work from anywhere in the US and receive generous PTO (46 days per year).
We also provide a wellness stipend and organize company gatherings.
