Holycode is looking for a Backend Software Engineer ready to start a once in a lifetime project inside the Hoshii team.

At Hoshii, they are building the AI workspace platform (AWP) for wholesalers. They do so by fully automating data entry from email, SMS and phone calls into ERP systems. In an industry that faces a very intense labor shortage, where millions are stuck doing repetitive work, Hoshii’s AWP offers an AI teammate that handles tedious chores like processing unstructured data, responding to customer inquiries, and entering data into ERP systems. Adam, our AI teammate, works to process orders and supplier notes, freeing up teams for more valuable work.

Their Blind Spot
They are currently growing faster than their infrastructure can follow, running around with duct tape to make their systems reliable while relentlessly shipping new features as well. They are looking for a Backend Software Engineer who will be building and maintaining theur integration layer between Hoshii and ERP/CRM systems out there. You will be an integral part of their engineering team in order to ensure a seamless onboarding for their customers, guaranteeing they receive the best possible experience while building the first system existing as such. You will join the founding team of young, talented engineers contributing to taking Hoshii to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be in charge of architecting and maintaining reliable, high-performance backend systems.
- Lead the development of the integration layer.
- Integrate and maintain various ERP and CRM systems into their platform to fully automate data entry and workflow processes and think of how we can deepen the integrations.
- Build relationships with ERP providers together with their business development team to make sure they become part of their local hero program.
- Collaborate with customers to identify integration needs & challenges, and deliver effective solutions tackling them.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues across services and levels of the stack, and promptly resolve business-critical disruptions that impact their customers.
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and documentation.
Your Profile
We are looking for team players with a growth mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit:
- Strong coding and debugging skills.
- Proven experience building and maintaining backend applications using Java, Go, C# or similar.
- Proficiency with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with relational databases (Postgres) and familiarity with No-SQL (MongoDB).
- Proven experience with implementing DevOps cycles, even simple ones (as long as effective), from deployment ( Docker), to orchestration ( Kubernetes) and monitoring ( Grafana).
- Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and their use in decoupling systems.
- Plus: Familiarity with distributed systems concepts (e.g., CAP theorem, consensus protocols) and microservice patterns (e.g., SAGA, 2PC).
- Plus: Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills in German, good command of English.
- A drive to work hands-on with clients while iterating based on user feedback.
- Strong sense of ownership: you love to take the lead on projects and ensure they reach success.
