Our client is a boutique Australian accounting and advisory firm with over 25 years of experience supporting private clients.
They’re looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team remotely and provide accurate, hands-on support across various clients and compliance tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
This role is a hands-on position providing bookkeeping services to our clients. The role will offer client contact and various client related responsibilities, as well as the challenges of working on a diverse client base.
Prepare financial statements up to trial balance
Assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports
Process client transactions through cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB)
Perform regular bank reconciliations and manage payments
Maintain complete and accurate accounting documentation
Process payroll and contractor invoices
Prepare and lodge BAS
Handle indirect tax payments (superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover)
Monitor compliance and deadlines across client accounts
Strong understanding of Australian bookkeeping, accounting principles and tax compliance.
At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
Strong English communication (verbal and written)
Proficient in Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office Suite
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple clients
Comfortable working independently and in a remote setup
