What You’ll Be Doing:

Goal: The role of Business Intelligence Analyst will be a part of Ecommerce Market Insights analytics team to design and develop world-class analytical information to support eCommerce businesses across Southeast Asia. A successful candidate will be working with platform users, business process owners and other team members for a given requirement or process. This includes taking part of the design, extraction, analysis, and visualization of the data along with creating feedback loops with key stakeholders to continuously improve the competency of the reports and platform. Further, the candidate should be capable of extracting, designing, and analyzing business requirements.

Responsibilities: We want you to own your master data, take responsibility for keeping it organized, well understood, clean and available for real-time decision making by humans and AI. You are our guru for data cleanliness, guiding our engineering teams, clients, operations and finance colleagues on keeping our data clean and reliable. Specifically, this role will be doing:

  • Development of BI reporting required to meet and inform business needs
  • Monitor data / information management processes to ensure data quality and consistency in support of business initiative
  • Prepare and analyze data using SQL, Power BI, Excel, or other reporting/visualization tools to support the client
  • Create and develop powerful dashboards to present data in a clear and concise manner
  • Lead category/channel/functional deep-dive analysis to identify portfolio opportunities / business drivers’ opportunities to accelerate business e.g., forecasting on Market Size Estimates, performance indicators, promotion/pricing analysis, trend analysis
  • Provide insights and recommendations to business partners
  • Continuously look for improvement areas across the business and how BI can support these

QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics
  • 2-4 years of experience with a Business Intelligence Tool such as MS Power BI, Tableau
  • Advanced and demonstrated knowledge of SQL
  • Business fluency in English
  • Able to think logically, organize work flows efficiently, and solve problems independently
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual capable of planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience in ecommerce, market research is a plus
  • Excel VBA programming, Python and ETL are plus
  • Experience of alternative data analysis tools is a plus
